This is a two part workshop which will be run by Nina Warrington , Head of Strategic Housing at Worcester City Council, and Sarah Waller, Associate Specialist at the Association of Dementia Studies, University of Worcester.
It will cover how the Better Care Fund and the disabled facilities grant funding can be used more creatively to meet the strategic priorities of both health and social care services. It will talk about the Better Care Fund Plan objectives and how housing can support the delivery of these by providing a range of adaptations to help people living with dementia to remain in their home environment for longer.
The Dementia Dwelling Grant pilot project will be discussed with some explanation of the adaptations to be used and the research to be undertaken.
