Dave Anderson Dave joined SCIE in 2011, after 25 years in the digital media business; but it also represents a return to the world of social care and working for a charity. He studied at Nottingham University in the mid-70s, and got heavily involved with student community activities, holding sabbatical posts with the student union, living in a therapeutic community and later working for MIND for many years doing development work.
After leaving Nottingham to travel, he ended up in London, and after re-training got into multimedia design, just before the phenomena of personal computing exploded.
Dave went on to work for various interactive design studios, including a year in Hong Kong before he was head hunted to join a new commercial multimedia division at BBC Worldwide. For the next 15 years, first as Executive Producer and then as Head of Development he oversaw the production of a range of award-winning cd-roms, videogames, and internet and mobile applications.
Dave is now Head of Digital at SCIE, which includes a large film and e-learning commissioning role, and is committed to developing digital resources than have real impact, and make a difference to people’s lives.
