Emma Stafford started her career as an Occupational Therapist in 2000 following completion of a BSc Hons at Liverpool University. Most of her working life has involved working with people experiencing dementia and carers in Liverpool. In 2008 she became a Deputy Community Mental Health Team Manager and in 2015 took up post as a dementia Lead in Mersey Care NHS Trust . To further her knowledge around ways of working with people with dementia she undertook an MSc in Dementia Care in 2005 at Manchester University. She enjoys working with people at different points throughout their dementia journey and has always been interested in practical solutions to memory problems and the influence of design and environment on people with dementia.
